We, The Second Baptist Church Women's Ministry are excited to announce our 1st Annual Women's Conference, September 20-21, 2013. We extend an invitation to the Women of your congregation (Ages 21 & up) to join us.
We are blessed to have as our keynote speaker, Dr. Jacqueline Thompson of Allen Temple Baptist Church of Oakland, California, The Reverend J. Alfred Smith, Pastor.
Dr. Thompson's many accolades include a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1993) from the University of California Berkeley; Master's of Divinity Degree with honors from Howard University (1998) under the academic leadership of respected theologian Dr. Cain Hope Felder; Doctorate Degree in African American Church Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California (2013)
Even though her excellence in academic scholarship, preaching and ministry earned her many other numerous awards, Dr. Thompson remains humble and focused. She understands that "man doth not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of The Lord." She is a child of the Most High God and is excited to have the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel wherever and whenever the opportunity presents itself. With a practical and often humorous style of speaking, Dr. Thompson speaks directly to the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life, helping them to discover their purpose and destiny in Christ.
